What is the Catenian Association?

The Catenian Association is an international body of Catholic men, mainly but certainly not exclusively from the professional and business world.

Where was the Association founded?

Founded in Great Britain in 1908, there are now approxiately ten thousand five hundred members throughout the world: in the United Kingdom,Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Hong Kong, and Malta

What do you do?

Members - who address each other as "brother" - meet once a month to join collectively in the practise of their faith, to enjoy each other's company and to support their local Parishes and Diocese (as for example, helping to raise funds for the rebuilding of St Patrick's Cathedral)

What happens at the monthly meetings?

Monthly Meetings are usually followed by dinner and before prospective members apply for membership, they are given the opportunity to get to know the association by sitting in on the proceedings. In addition, a range of other spiritual and social activities take place, often involving other members of the family.
